Goodbye California

The crew at Disneyland has begun the work to turn the entrance to Disney California Adventure Park into the new Buena Vista Drive. The work will transform the entrance to a representation of 1920 Los Angeles at the time Walt Disney first arrived in California.

 It will mean that much of the charm of the entrance will be covered with construction walls for quite some time, because the work will not be completed till sometime in 2011. But the wait will be worth it with all of the changes Disney imagineers have planned for Park guest.

So I for one am patiently waiting.

Halloween Time returns to Disneyland Resort Sept. 17 through Oct. 31.  Highlights of the Disneyland Halloween season include the return of Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy,  and the longtime favorite Haunted Mansion Holiday, in which Halloween and Christmas come together insoired by “Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas.”  and the new, nighttime water spectacular “World of Color,” nightly at Disney California Adventure park.
